LAST MONTH
November we were fortunate
to have a lecture on story telling by Nancy McQuillan. Yes, she
was able to make after all and Jim Lewis our backup lecturer
graciously backed out so that Nancy could do the lecture. (She
was the one we wanted in the first place but due to the date
change of our meeting she had thought that she could not make
it then) Well, we're so glad that she did make it as she gave
a very entertaining and informative lecture that was remarkable
and truly enjoyed by all that attended. Thanks Nancy!

THIS MONTH
Ho
Ho Ho ! Yes, it's time for our annual holiday party. This year,
the club will provide the ham and the turkey ( Linda is cooking
the bird for us ). Please bring your own drinks ( no alcohol
please ). A cooler with ice will be there for you but please
feel free to bring your own cooler if you like. We want to have
a good spread of food so follow the guideline of A-I, please
bring a salad, J-P, side dish / entrée, Q-Z, a desert.
Please note that there is no facility to keep your dish warm
so if you want it served warm you'll have to bring a hot plate
or something to do that. We are going to have a gift exchange
so bring a new gift in the $5.00 to $10.00 price range if you
wish to participate in the gift drawing. If you bring a gift
you get one if you don't, you don't get one. We are going to
have a 50/50 drawing this month and we'd like to have a raffle.
I'm bringing a clown related item to raffle off, but we need
other items too, so please bring something to raffle off. HELP
SUPPORT YOUR CLUB! We're not going to have a business meeting
before the party but I will have a list of bi-laws that everyone
that wishes to can look at and give us your feedback.
SEAL BEACH PARADE
We
went to the Seal Beach Parade on 12-01-2000 and it was bigger
and better than ever. Potsy and Blimpo , Molly, Susan and 5 clowns
from Orange County Volunteer Clowns participated. I was there
videoing the whole thing. What a fun parade! Don't miss it next
year, it's always on the first Friday of December.

NEXT MONTH
In
January we will have a lecture presented by Barbara Baldwin on
taxes. "Taxes are no clowning matter" shall be the
appropriate title of the lecture. Barbara, as well as being our
treasurer is also well versed in accounting and taxes and has
all kinds of ideas that will help you organize your taxes and
help protect you in the event that you are ever audited.
