THE FUNNIES

THIS MONTH

At our February 12th 2001 meeting we will have a guest lecturer. Bill Sy The Magic Guy, is going to share with us some of the great effects he uses in his entertaining. This should really be a special treat for all that attend and I’m sure you will learn a couple of things that you can use in your magic performance. Bill has been performing magic since he was 12 and uses his magic to illustrate Bible truths in churches around the country. He has won awards in Michigan and continues to use his magic for entertaining and speaking in venues from children’s parties to schools, restaurants, corporate events and churches. Bill is affiliated with prominent national organizations such as the International Fellowship of Christian Magicians, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the International Ministerial Fellowship and the National Speakers Association, and is a member of Ring 313 and the Orange County Magic Club. Please let all your fellow entertainers know about this lecture. All members of Funny Business Clowns will get free admission into the lecture and non-members will be charged only $5.00 to enter. Help support our club and learn and enjoy the fellowship of other entertainers. Pencil it in on your schedule. You won’t want to miss this exciting lecture!

 LAST MONTH

At our January meeting Barbara Baldwin gave us all a very informative lecture on taxes. We were able to get answers to many questions that will help us in preparation for this years taxes and in the future. Thanks again Barbara for the wealth of information you shared with us all. We also briefly discussed by-laws for our club and I'm going to have hard copies for us to review at our February meeting. Vicki shared with us about how we could earn money for the club with a Tupperware fund raiser. Call her for all your Tupperware needs. (714) 893-8422.

NEXT MONTH

Our March Meeting will feature Melody the Clown with a lecture on puppetry and ventriloquism. Get your puppets ready for a good workout.

SPECIAL NOTES

If you have any clown or magic related items to donate to the club please bring them with you to the next meeting so we can include them in our raffle. The half and half drawing has received great support from our members and we will continue with it, but we'd like to do a raffle along with it.
