Greetings and salutations and all that good
stuff, I hope everyone is having a great 2002 so far. We sure got it off
to a rousing start last month with Don Caldwell and his balloons. Being
a balloon-a-phobic that I am, even I enjoyed the evening!! For those of
you who would like to contact him for the possibility of witnessing a
real live performance or who wanted to purchase his videos and didn't

THE PRESIDENT'S STATE OF THE CLUB ADDRESS by DenaWe welcomed 6 new members: Nancy "Kalico" Bull, Lucy "Sunshine" Fitch, Louise "Weezee" Charles, Joyce "Rainbow Joy" Stone, Richard "Freddy Fooey" London, Elaine "Ellie Bells" Reagan and we welcomed back Valerie "Miss Giggles" Slater. We also had 11 guests in attendance coming as far away as Redlands and Burbank. Now on to the February meeting, you won't want to miss this one either. We have Magician Ken Sands coming to present, what else - MAGIC! Ken is the owner of a 2 year old magic shop, "Magic Galore and More", located in the Westminster Lanes Bowling Alley at 6471 Westminster Ave. in Westminster. His phone # is (714) 891-6488. Ken has been a professional magician for 18 years and he has a lot of great things to share with us. In Ken's own words, here's a brief description of what he'll be doing for us, "I will be sharing on developing a routine in the context of your performing voice. I will be discussing motivating your magic and eliminating digressions. How to develop your magic into relational magic, and I will be sharing a little bit on the psychology of deception. Including on and off beats, timing and controlling your environment. There will also be a time to let the group members create ideas and actual routines." Now don't let some of Ken's big words intimidate you. He knows his stuff and I am so looking forward to having all of us learn from him. Please bring a guest. There will again be a $5 charge for non-members, but just like Don (Last Month), it will be well worth the price of admission. Ken will also have some magic and gags from his shop for sale - so bring your mad money.
