Greetings from the Prez Box

Hi greetings from the "Prez Box" let me introduce myself. I am Becky Johnson A.K.A. Praisen Penny. What kind of clown are you you ask ? I am a "GOSPEL CLOWN" I use Biblical truths in my clowning to help teach morals and Christian objectives. I am part of a husband and wife team. My partner and husband is known as "GOSPEL GUS". Together we entertain children and adults through the use of clown skits, props, magic,storytelling,puppet shows and object lessons. We have events and parties for as little as 5 kids or even 300 kids. We have been clowning for 6 years and look forward too many more years of fun and laughter

 


Coming at our Next Meeting

ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO YOUR HATS? Well that's what's required for our next meeting. We will be having "GAME NIGHT". Everyone is encouraged to participate by bringing a game to share with the group. We have all gotten to a place where we do the same game at every event and having a new fresh game will help keep the clowning fresh and exciting. You are also encouraged to bring a party bag to share with the group. (Don't forget to bring the list of resources or suppliers) So bring a notebook and pencil where we should all have information to share. Everyone is encouraged to participate and have fun. What a great way to help those who haven't been clowning for long and need ideas, and what a great chance for those who have been doing this longer to share and also receive new ideas. We will also be creating a new sign-up sheet for the monthly snacks.. so get the pots brewing as to when you would like to help out.

Membership Renewal Reminder

The Funny Business calendar year runs from June 1st through May 31st. Membership dues will be $18.00 per year per person 16 years of age and older with no family discounts. Members will receive free admission to all meetings including lectures with the exception of the hiring of a high priced lecturer and a vote by the membership to charge admission for all in attendance to defray the cost. The regular charge for lecture nights for non-members will be $5.00, with a ceiling of $10.00 in cases the board deems necessary. Members in good standing may host a table at our annual Swap Meet for a charge of $5.00 per table. All minors (15 years old and under) are welcome to attend club meetings and events at no charge, but must have the adult member with them.

Joke of the Month:

A police officer pulled over a car full of clowns. The clown asked, "Is there a problem officer?"

"Yes, you were doing 100 miles per hour," he replied.

"Well, the sign said 100. So is it still considered speeding?" asked the clown.

The officer looked at her, laughed, and said, "Now ma'am, that sign says County Road 100." After he said this, the officer realized that the other clowns looked terrified. So he asked them if everything was OK.

One clown in the back replies, "Yes sir, we're fine -- we just got off County Road 242 and we're just catching our breath!"
