Festival de los ninos

Mega Daniel’s Home Center in Anaheim is again hosting the 4th annual Latino Talent Show that is called FESTIVAL de los NINOS, which will be held at Pearson Park (the amphitheater) in Anaheim on four consecutive Sunday evenings from July 27th through August 17th.  Myself as TWINKLES d’ KLOWN will be there again this year.  The Latino Talent was FANTASTIC!  These children are very talented and worth seeing.  It runs from 5PM to 9PM and TWINKLES d’ KLOWN will get there at 4PM to be outside the Amphitheater doing my thing” with the early attendee’s.

This year we will start by standing in front of the amphitheater and just clowning around to keep the people occupied until the event starts.  Then we are needed “up front when the performance begins.  Event coordinator Juan Luna of Mega Daniel’s Home Center has some new ideas for us this year.  He is talking about us, as clowns, bringing up each one of the contestants or groups to “center stage” where they are introduced by the M.C. and then they perform. The idea is for us to walk them up in a “cute clown manner”

What we are there for is while the people are coming into the event and waiting outside the amphitheater, we do our entertaining to keep them occupied until the “doors open” for them to go in.  I did balloons; other clowns did puppetry, face painting and/or just walk arounds.  This year Daniel’s event coordinator Juan Luna would also like us involved in the actual production on stage.  This is in the planning stages and is not decided yet what we clowns will be doing.  This year they will be having the clown’s bringing up the winners were each walked on stage by one of us clowns.

So, if you have any questions about the event or want to let me know that you want to be involved in the event for either just one night through even doing all four of the nights, you can contact me and let me know.  It starts at the end of the month and I need to know now which clowns will be there to assist me.  – Pam “TWINKLES d’ KLOWN” House – 562/43`1-5785.

Orangewood Children's Home Event

I sent Paulette “POM-POM” Rosen a quick note to send out to our FUNNY BUSINESS e- mail list regarding an event on July 3rd at the ORANGEWOOD CHILDREN’S HOME.  I had been there before as “TWINKLES d’ KLOWN” with my dad “SNIKKERS” also going so I got a “LAST MINUTE” call from them and I envisioned myself being the only clown going there on such short notice.  But the clowns came through for me so a huge “THANK YOU” to all that responded and came to the event.

Charlene “STRAWBERRY” Hammons and Pam “UhO the Clown” Ehlers from the CLASSIC CLOWNS OF WHITTIER came and did face painting.  I contacted the JOY KLOWNS in Seal Beach Leisure World and Loretta “GRANDMA COOPS” Cooper came and did balloons (as did myself as TWINKLES d’ KLOWN).  Diamond Lil’ was there as both a FUNNY BUSINESS & JOY KLOWNS member with her puppet going around entertaining.  Fellow member Becky “POKA DOTZ” Lucia mentioned it at the Volunteer Clowns of Orange County club meeting and we had Doran “Do DO” Sorenson come from their club.

The children made patriotic floats and put on a parade.  They did not want the children to see us ahead of time so they took us to the gymnasium and when the parade was over, the children came in for the awards ceremony (for making the floats and being in the parade) and THE CLOWNS WERE THERE!  Again “THANK YOU” for helping me out on such short notice.  – Pam House -
