This N' That From President Pam

My greetings to everyone! I sit here composing my first article for "The Funnies" as your new president. I am Pam House, aka "Twinkles d' clown." Today I am the outgoing president for two years of Sweet Arts of Orange County (a cake club) and will no longer be the club's president when you receive this newsletter. I am a white-faced clown of two years with jewels on my face. My 81 year old father's, Bob, clown name is "Snikkers", and he goes on my gigs with me. We entertain children & adults from as little as ten present up to an airplane hanger at Norton afb with 2,000 evacuee's from the San Bernardino mountain fires last year. The joy we get seeing a "make-a-wish" child smile, and people in general smiling when they see clowns makes our clowning worthwhile.

I am also a member of Volunteer Clowns of Orange County, Clowns of America International (our member Candy "Butterscotch" Will is a Regional Vice President), International Fellowship of Christian Magicians and a member of the Los Angeles chapter of the same name.

As I stated in my Sweet Arts of Orange County newsletter monthly, "your club is only as good as each member makes it." What I'm saying as your new president is, one person (me) and the board cannot do it alone. We need you! Give us your ideas; physically help at our meetings, submit articles to the newsletter (Paulette Rosen is a great newsletter editor - support her), and even offer to be our demonstration person at one of our monthly meetings. So I welcome any assistance from each and every one of you.

And I can only say, "I will do my best"! And once again, "your club is only as good as each member makes." Support your new board and we will see you all at our June meeting! -President Pam-

This Month

For the month of June we have two members for our demonstrators. "Butterscotch" has graciously volunteered to be one of our demonstrators. She will be showing some of her "Birthday Party Magic". that she does at her parties. We will also have a surprise guest. If any of you have a "walk around(s)" that work well for you, bring them to the meeting and educate us. Remember: "YOUR CLUB IS ONLY AS GOOD AS EACH MEMBER MAKES IT!" So join in the demonstration. We will see you at the June meeting. -President Pam-

Food

Food will be brought by Laura Narvarez.
