Pom-Pom's Patter

Hi Fellow Joeys,
This months program sounds really exciting I can't wait to do it.
last month we had our swap meet. We had a good turn out.
Since we did not have enough people to vote last time, we will be having a very short election. We want to have as much time as possible to enjoy this month's program.

This Month

The Art of Clown

This exercise that we will be experiencing is what Boo Boo learned when she went to a class in L.A
It is a side of clowning that can be categorized as performing arts. This clowning experience was very, very different from the typical performance at a birthday party or even circus clowning, volunteering  etc. It could work in the category of the world of skits but most have probably never experienced this in their clowning

If you enjoy this we will be having one of the people from the group that did the class come out to teach us to experience it in more new ways. This will just be a little look into getting in touch with the clown inside of you . You’ll learn eye contact, silent comedy even maybe some tragedy, how to improve in your clowning, how to speak with your facial expressions and your body movement. Come experience the birth of another piece of your clown maybe even another character! I hope all will come out and enjoy! I absolutely encourage it. Please push yourself if you’re at home feeling down you can come out and work through that with your improvisation and leave with a lil smile or big one! And maybe even but a smile on someone else’s face that needs it! Can’t wait to see ya there!!!!!!!!!
Your Friend Boo Boo

Things you should do before hand if possible !
1. Come dressed in all black. Try and wear the most "generic" black clothing possible. Comfortable clothes, no skirts or shorts, we want you to be as clean a slate as possible.
2. Please bring a clown nose. I will try to have noses to purchase if you don’t have one.
3. Please bring a hand held mirror. a compact will do, as will a larger standing mirror. If you have more than one, bring it!
4. Bring a water or juice or both And that's it!

Once again, PLEASE BE ON TIME. We can't wait to start!

Klinko's Kolumn

Happy summer Clowns!!!!
It's finally here. Time to have some fun parties at the park and outdoors! Yeah, Hot! Hot! Hot! I just want to share with you a reminder that really pays off. With business being down and everyone pinching pennies in todays economy we are lucky to even book an event. Take advantage of that booking and be at your very best! Best makeup, best costumes, best behavior and give them the party of a lifetime!. What says more for advertising yourself than you at your best. If you give 110% and impress those attending the party you are sure to get more business in the future. Bring plenty of business cards with you. Pass out coloring sheets, photo's of you in clown, any type of give away with your contact information to promote your business. Make it memorable and you will be remembered. I also want to say thank you for clowns who share!!!!! Butterscotch and Princess Pipsqueak are my friends and they never hesitate to send bookings my way if they are not available to do them.. THANK YOU!!!! I soooooooo appreciate the help as I struggle to make ends meet too!!!!!!! Share with each other and we all can find our way through this tough economy. What goes around comes around. There is plenty for all of us!
