Klinko's Kolumn by Karla

Finally! My computer is up and running. I've been lost and now I'm found. What did we ever do without them! I hope that everyone is keeping busy! I myself find this time of year a good time to start spring cleaning. I like to dry clean my costumes, wash, curl and set my wigs, go through props and magic. Go through files and get my taxes done, yuck I like to get organized for the upcoming warmer and busier months. Which will be here very, very soon! I am looking forward to our next meeting as I have heard the lecture will be very informative and educational as well. I hope to see you there! Klinko - Prez Clown

From the Pickle Jar by Becky

INTRODUCING: Magician Dan Jordan, Professional Children's Entertainer
Dan has been entertaining children with his Unicycling, Juggling, and Magic for many, many years. Because of his vast experience in performing , he decided to start lecturing to share his knowledge with other performers. His lectures have taken him from the Magic Castle to local magic rings and clown clubs all over the United States. He will be sharing with us "Group Participation and Control" We will learn techniques to gain control of the audience plus understand and handle problems with children and adult audience members. Dan will also explain different methods to handle problems with volunteers on stage. As a bonus Dan will give out handouts, provide raffle prizes and give away Magic Castle passes. There will also be time for questions and answers Don't miss this night of valuable information! Reminder: There is a $5.00 charge for non members.

Well, it's almost time for the 2003 COAI Convention that is going to be in St. Louis, Missouri and I hope to see some of you there, okay everybody raise their hands who are going. . .Let me know if you are going so I can catch up to you while we are there. I hope some of you took advantage of the scholarship program while you were at it. At the present time, I am working with two other board members on the new Junior Joey program for COAI and I'm really excited about it! A GOOD PUN IS IT'S OWN REWORD
Life After Death:
"Do you believe in life after death?" the boss asked one of his employees.
"Yes, sir," the new recruit replied.
"Well, then that makes everything just fine ... 'the boss went on.
"After you left early yesterday to go to your grandmother's funeral, she stopped in to see you."
