Greetings from the Prez Box

Hello again. It's that time once again, for our Funny Business monthly meeting. What are we doing this month you ask? What could we possibly do to continue the excitement and energy of our last month's guest lecturer, you ask? Well, hold onto your hats and button down your noses and strap in your suspenders. It's the one and only Linda "PJ" Hulet. Linda is one of the greatest clowns within our industry. She has traveled all over the world (in one character or another) performing and speaking and teaching for kids of all ages. She has performed for over a thousand people within one day. Companies large and small have sought her to perform and entertain their guests for their special functions. If you need and want to learn, how to develop your clown character and get help with your clown costume. You do not want to miss this opportunity to learn from a veteran and well-seasoned clown. Seasoned with laughter, imagination, smiles, happiness and lots of color. That's what makes Linda a very special character and great clown. Don't miss this lecture, invite other clowns. See ya all there.

Coming This Month

Clown of Many Faces

Linda Hulet, Clown of Many Faces

Linda is one of the finest, funniest female clowns in America. In the Entertainment World Linda is known as the clown with many faces. What does that mean? It means that Linda draws on her repertory of characters, costumes, and props to provide entertainment in various environments. Linda has taught others the performing art of clowning in such locations as the Western United States, Wisconsin, New York, and New Jersey. She is an expert at specialty routines and portraying multiple characters and is a wonderful strolling, walk-around, and stage-performing clown. She has performed from living rooms, stages, convention centers, and circus arenas. Her clowning antics have been seen internationally in such exotic locales as Russia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. In the United States, she toured New York and it’s immediate states with the Yankee Doodle Circus. She prides herself on her comedy strolling at fairs, festivals, and amusement parks. Walk around entertainment is second nature to her clown characters and is one of Linda’s strong points. She loves performing as her one-woman-band and with the various animal characters that she rides. Two of her favorites include a funny camel that spits water and winks and an elephant that squirts water, while wiggling her ears. Quick parody comebacks abound as she moves through crowds bringing laughs to all the individuals she meets. Her happiness comes from seeing the joy in others.
Be sure to bring your costume including shoes etc. so Linda can give you suggestions.

Bio of the Month by John Acuna

Cuddles the clown started back in 1997. When a friend of mine asked me to be a clown at a little girl's birthday party I said "yes". I was always joking around at the beauty salon where I worked. I went home that evening and looked in the phone book and called Charm and Happy the clowns. I explained to Charm what I wanted to do and asked her a million questions. I really had fun doing the party.
Cuddles the clown has appeared on Channel 2 News and for the Ringling Brothers audition in Anaheim. I also appeared in costume on the television show Blind Date. Potsy and Blimpo told me about Funny Business and I started going to the meetings. I belong to HMO, Classic Clowns and am Vice President for Funny Business.
