THIS MONTH

Our next meeting will be on May 14th and we will be having elections for officers of the club. Any- one interested in running for an office please be there and be prepared to express why you'd like to be an officer and what you'd like to do for the club. After we resolve the elections, no we're not going to count hanging chads, we're going to have our annual swap meet. If you are a member, and wish to sell your items that are clown or magic related please bring your stuff and set it up. Items should be in usable condition and be clearly priced. Non-members are welcome but there is a $5.00 charge to sell and dealers will have to pay 10 percent of what they sell to a maximum of $20.00. See you there! Who knows what goodies you'll find.

LAST MONTH

What can I say? Our April meeting was a huge success and a lot of fun as Flash presented an outstanding lecture on balloon twisting. We all learned some new neat twists and he taught us how to do about 6 different balloon creations. We had over 50 people attend, the largest group we've had in quite some time. Afterwards a lot of us went to Norms for diner and fellowship and Flash shared his photo albums from his last two balloon conventions. Thanks, Flash, for the fantastic lecture.

We also want to give a special thanks to Becky for doing the raffles and getting us the items for the raffle. Our club made enough to pay for the lecturer and more, through the raffles!

PRESIDENT'S NOTES

After the response from many of our members in regards to electing not to run for office again we have decided that we will run for office for another year, but want to make it clear that anyone that is interested in running, please do so, as we do not want to leave office and not have a suitable replacement. Please think about what things you'd like the club to do next year so plans can be made for an agenda. Dues for next year are due in June. All existing members pay $12.00 to renew their membership, $20.00 per family.
Any new members will be prorated as they join to a minimal amount of $6.00. (We will not prorate on old members). Help support your club, pay on time! We will have membership cards for next year as Paulette, our www.webmaster.clown has designed them for us. Thanks Paulette for all your contributions. We love you and a big nose bumping hug to you!
