Greetings from the Prez Box

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and you and you and you. That's how I feel about each and every member of this club. I have enjoyed a year as your President and we have enjoyed a year of great lectures. From story telling with Harlynne Geisler, to puppets to makeup to balloons to" Developing character" with Linda Huelet and we will never forget our face painting class by Marcella"Mama Clown". What a year of growth and insight to one of the longest professions of man- kind. I want to take this time to express special thanks to Paulette Rosen. Thank you so much for all your work as editor of "The Funnies" and keeper of "Clown Pages" but most of all for your support and friendship. Special thanks to Becky Goodyear, Candy Wills and Sherry Newberg for all your support, help and friendship, throughout this year.

Last Month

LAST MONTH… What a great time we had. Andrew is so talented and if you missed the lecture. He is so "Engaged". Congratulations to Andrew, I was so amazed how easy it was to learn to do some of the nicest looking pieces I have seen. From "Sponge Bob" "Basket with Flowers" cool looking Cell phones and the Rose on a stick, what a great hand out for that special person at your next event.

This Month

Are you ready for elections? If you have never ran for an office of Funny Business, or even if you have run for an office in the past I would encourage all members to consider running for an office. This has been a fun year and I have learned so much, but most of all I have met so many of you the members who make up the Funny Business. This month we will also be having our annual swap meet. Where many of you will bring out many of those things we no longer use and make some extra money. Everything from wigs, hats, clown shoes, clown shirts and magic and props. Whether its old, new or used, like the saying goes someone's junk is someone else's treasure There is a $5.00 table charge for all members according to the by laws and the club will be charging $10.00 for non- members table.

Coming Events

Coming in July is the Anaheim Hills 4th of July parade. If you will be walking in the parade please see me, so we can insure that a name badge gets done for you. Butterscotch will be making badges for everyone who will be participating so please do not forget to see me. The parade will be held on July 3rd and begins at 4 pm. It is a very short parade and is also a fun parade to participate in. The best part is the club receives a check for $100.00 for participating. This year the parade theme will be "PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN" I believe that we have about 6 people already committed to participating this year, I encourage everyone to get involved and lets have fun and show our community what we are all about.

A.C.E. Convention will be held May 7th and 8th at the Riverside Baptist University. There will be more information at the meeting to hand out.
