The Pres Says

We clowns have a unique gift - the gift of bringing laughter to the world. We can provide a much needed diversion to someone who may not be having a good day. They will have forgotten their situation if for only a few minutes. How appropriate our gift is right now! I'm not saying that we should forget about the events of September 11th, but that we can provide that diversion for a short time. We've all heard in the news how these diversions can help the healing process - be it a baseball game, a movie or a smile from a clown. With this in mind, our October meeting will be a time for all of us to share. Maybe it's a story of a time that you helped cheer up someone who was having one of those days. Maybe it's a favorite joke or routine that you have. Maybe it's getting an answer to a question we've all been asking - "What can I do to help in this most difficult time?" Many of our "old timers" and founding members of Funny Business will be coming to the meeting to share. This could be just the right diversion for you on the evening of October 8th. We'll also be deciding on whether we will have a November meeting since all of us on the board and many members will be at the Western Regional Clown Convention in Laughlin at the time of our regularly scheduled meeting in November. In addition, we'll fill everyone in on what happened at the Rodeo on September 28, 29 and 30th.
