* NEW LOCATION AND DAY*
As those who came to our August meeting know, the meeting room we've been using for years is NO LONGER AVAILABLE ! The city of Orange is subdividing the room into extra offices. We conducted our August meeting on the grass in the shade of the building we used to have our meeting in. We have secured a new place to meet thanks to Linda Hulet, back to where we had our meetings many years ago. NOTE ALSO, WE CHANGED THE DAY TOO! The second Wednesday was not available in our new location so we are now meeting on the second Monday of the month. Which means our next meeting will be on September 11th , not the 13th . The new address is at the bottom of this page . Park in the back, it's the only entrance with double doors.

THIS MONTH

This month we have a special treat in store for us all at our September meeting. A lecture by Phyllis Estrada, a mime, who's studied under Todd Farley, who is a graduate of Marcel Marceu. She has 20 years of experience as a mime and has taught mime and conducted workshops for all ages. She has mimed at many banquets and festivals for various churches and youth groups and regularly performs at her church. She has traveled internationally doing street mime and theatrical mime with her husband Tony (who is also a mime) and it's going to be a great pleasure to have her as our instructor in September.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Remember that Sept. 24th is the day for The American Cancer Society "Race for the Cure" in Laguna Beach from about 7 A.M. to 12 noon. They need volunteer clowns to entertain . Contact Lyn for more info, 949-9124.

OCTOBER CLOWN AUCTION

In October we're going to try something new to our club and exciting. We are going to have a "Clown Auction" . We've had several auctions at Ring 313 and those that join in and participate have the opportunity to sell and/or buy items while the club earns money as it gets 10 percent of the sale. All those items that you never use and wonder why you bought them in the first place can earn you a chunk of change or you might find that perfect item that you love. So start getting those items (please make them related to clowning or magic) together. Simply print your name, a brief description of the item and the minimal starting bid you would like on a 3x5 card. One 3x5 card for each item you bring. We'll try to get all the monies paid to the sellers that evening, time permitting . Help support your club, make $$$ and have fun.
